Men and nature

I could NEVER be with a man who does not love animals ,it is so important to me,even before hubby turned pagan he loved all sorts of animals,Here is just a small selection of him over the years with various animals

He is some kind of bird whisperer, who in their right mind hand feeds swans !! (Please note this was before we knew they should not eat bread)

Comforting my dog snickers after our dog max died, despite me being an ex vet nurse it was hubby who took snix to be put to sleep when his legs went and he suffered depression at the loss of his pal,I will be for ever grateful to him for taking over and doing that

He loves nothing more than to sit out in nature listening to birds

He is such a softy, when we accidentally hit a deer he was distraught for days, same when he hit a rabbit and a pigeon (the downside of living in the countryside) now when he sees animals standing in the road he honks the car horn to scare them off rather than hit them.

He is a dog whisperer, I have lost count of how many strays he has found or how many have actually sat at our door waiting ! There was an episode last year where a supposed “dangerous” dog breed was causing mayhem in the street,it already almost caused a car accident, the whole street were out being nosey and it was only him the dog would allow near him,it took hours but he finally got a lead on it and took it to the animal rescue place.

I have literally hundreds of photos of him with animals but these are the ones in my tablet right now.

You can judge a mans heart by the love he has for furred or feathered friends !!

Keep up the good work Beardie xxx

Update: last night he found a dead cat in the road 😦 so he moved it onto the grass to stop it getting totally squashed and upsetting any children that may see it,he laid it out to look like it was sleeping peacefully and looked to see if it had identification but it didn’t,

Update 2
Here is hubby with my grand daughters new kitten, they have only had her a few days and he has only met her twice, tonight she would not leave his side, she is not like that with anyone else

With yet another stray dog that literally knocked on our door and asked for hubbies help (was reunited with its owner within an hour) I am so grateful these dogs make it to our door as we live on a very dangerous main road
